Title: Seat Belts in a 250sl euro
Post by: Arjun on March 25, 2005, 17:45:13
Would somebody help me make choice from one of the following

Mercedes 3 point belts come with an installation kit.

After market belts (though cheaper)do not have an installation kit. These have to be welded in. Is this ok.  Or stick with the original.

I believe the MB service bulletin for adding ANY 3-point seat belts to a Pagoda dictates cutting/welding.  I don't know why, since there's a threaded bolt hole already there at the shoulder point.

You may want to learn how to use the Search link in the top right corner of the screen.  I searched on "seatbelt" and found these threads (out of a list of 30 or so?).

Yes, they dictate cutting & welding, because they do not
have a set for Pagoda. What they have is a composition of
still available belt bits and pieces, belonging to other
MB`s.
