I realize that touchup paint for my '71 280SL (DB181 light beige) hasn't been available from M-B for years, but where can I get a touchup tube of good quality in this color? I could go to good places near me to have paint custom blended, but I'd have to buy at least a pint or more.
My car's in excellent original condition and driven weekly, but it has its share of little nicks here and there from driving. Any suggestions would be welcomed.
Thanks from Warminster, PA (suburban Philadelphia)

There are plenty of companies who will make even small amounts of pencils or sprays. Difficult for me to Google it in the US. But they are not uncommon. Try to Google "custom touch up pencils" or alike.

They don’t have many of the colours!

I have had very good luck with an outfit called Paint Scratch - www.paintscratch.com

That’s who I used for my Horizon Blue 280sl. Matched pretty good.

I have used Paint Scratch as well and have found the colour to be a good match.

I have had good experience with them. Their color was a perfect match for my original paint. Also bought their rattle cans and did some extra wheel covers.

my suggestion is to go to a local or close to you, profession body and paint shop and ask them where they buy their paint.
If I am correct they will let you know where your paint color can be mixed.
