Hey, can anyone recommend a Pagoda mechanic in the South Bay? I have a 1969 280SL... .needs some tuneup, et al.

Mike's Foreign car service. On Artesia close to Inglewood Blvd. Redondo Beach
Mike is an expert on 1960's Mercedes. Pagoda's are often spotted there. However, Mike is sort-of retired and the company is now operated by Darwin (?). He also knows these cars pretty well. You can call and see if Mike is around but Darwin knows his stuff as well.
Mike removed and replaced my steering box as I was not comfortable doing it. Perfect job. He also knows how to get our linkage exact and commented that he has never seen correctly adjusted linkage on any car that comes in until he saw my 250 - he called it perfect - (thanks JA17 and his linkage tour). That in it self tells me he knows these cars.

My wife"s White 230SL is at Mike's Foreign car service Redondo Beach to sort some required maintenance and also interior work done . He is very knowledgeable and so is Darwin , I recommend this shop. They can also recommend local auto body shops and upholsterers that also know W113 . I've used Mike's recommend upholsterer Auto interior restoration ( 310 739-1957 Tommy Hansen owner ) in Redondo beach for the complete interior and new convertible top that is coming out very nice .
