I am not on facebook, but that may be the car I saw at a repair shop in Akron. Posted in "Pagoda Spotting"
If someone wants me to look at it, I can probably do this this weekend.

The one on Facebook is still there and its a red car from a dealer. Just search Facebook Akron Ohio and when you get in there search Mercedes - its a few pages down.

Hi mike I’m interested in the 230sl

Nephew gave me more info. It is red and it is at a car dealer, called Used Luxury and Exotic dealership in Akron. phone number 248-931-7100 I am not getting any finders fees. Said he would take something is the high 20ties. But being from Cleveland I watched my 1963 190c which I washed religiously rust under that so called under-coating from do you remember Zeibart. Hope all are doing well. Now in California just replaced a muffler after 30 years.

Hi Art.
I think I know the selling dealer. If it is the place I remember, it is on Main Street, south of Akron. Lots of exotics, but usually pricey.
Don't know of the place in Lakewood. Was that a MB dealer?
Ziebarth is still around, I think. They used to have a large place on West 130th and Pearl in Middleburg Heights.

Hello Mike ,
I am talking 52 years ago, My friends dad had 1957 300l Roadster on the showroom floor in the winter. He was a salesman on the floor. He lived out on State or Ridge Road and one day it was in his way and he sold it for $5500. could have been my friends inheritance today. The real problem with this pandemic is too much time. Hope allis well. Still have hundreds of 1st 2nd and 3rd cousins in Cleveland area. You may have gone to school with some of them

Art: No bother at all. It is kind of nice to reminisce ever so often. Unfortunately, I am not the right guy in this case. I never went to school in the U.S. I am a German expatriate and came here in 1988. Moved to the greater Cleveland area in 1991 from Michigan.
