Title: 1969 280SL neutral safety switch

Can someone please suggest where I can find this switch or at least the ball and socket portion of the switch that the cable attaches to?

Try the main search function, the one after in the list of items that starts with "Home" It will search the entire forum, the one at the top right only searches the forum you are currently reading.

I used "neutral safety switch" - but without the quotes and got a page of items. Very manageable

Thanks so much for your help!  Looks like Pelican Parts may have the cable endpiece/ball socket connector with the same part number that I got from the Mercedes Benz Classic Center.  Will contact them tomorrow to confirm.
