Title: Antifreeze vs anti corrosion
Post by: col320ce on April 10, 2020, 23:33:57
I was told by my mechanic to just put anti-corrosion fluid in rather than antifreeze.  Any recommendations?
I'm in Australia where it never gets to freezing point where I am.
Thanks!!

I use Zerex G05 and from what I have heard is similar to the MB formula. I wouldn't mess around with coolant types too much as the wrong formula can corrode the aluminum very quickly.

Use Mercedes or the same norm as Mercedes. Lots of posts on this on the Forum.

Look at www.norosion.com  and the coolant technical page.  I use it w/o antifreeze.  https://www.norosion.com/tech_coolant.htm   For water I used RO drinking water from the grocery store.
