Well, from the style of dress and sculpture techniques, my guess would be a group of Grecian Roman gentlemen studying the  equivalent of Bring a trailor - (if my memory serves me well from my classical Greek studies I think it was called Bring a Chariot) for a resto Pagoda - just a guess.

Sadly, if it is made of cement its not going to fire them up on Antiques Roadshow

Hi,
from the style it looks like from Atonine dynasty (Roman Empire 96-192 AD: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nerva%E2%80%93Antonine_dynasty) similar to this: http://lupa.at/398.

It may be part of a larger scene from a relief on the side of a sarcophagus or an altar. Two men studying a scroll.

I originally thought it was Pilate sentencing Jesus to death, or something like that.
That would fit into MBe 's time frame give or take 50 years.

It would have to be famous time or event for it to be made because it is not that old. (maybe 30 or 40 years old)
I do not think it is worth any money. I am just curious.

Look between the two figures in the front there is a person standing between them in the background with his hands crossed maybe tied. also over the shoulder of the two men in front are faces ??

I think I see five faces and the feet of all five. . . . Possibly singing or chanting...

I would like to thank everyone for their comments and thoughts.
One thing is for sure that it is in a better place that it was when I bought it at the estate sale.
The owner of the home was using it as an ash tray and it took some time to clean up.
I will put it back in the garden outside know a little bit more about it.
Happy Easter!

I think Ralph was on the right track. It looks like it shows a group of people singing from a scroll that the front two are holding. 8)
