Nice, thank you!
Looks like Daimler keep adding pictures there.
The arrangement with ski rack for cabrio is new to me, I have not seen that before. I also wonder about this camping wagon...
-
Good reminder, to return to this Daimler website. As mentioned, they add some new pictures now and then.
Yes, two great (colour) pictures showing the ultra-rare Oris ski rack for SL: s with soft top or Hard Top w/o roof chrome strips fitted. :)
First became available for the 300SL and 190SL

There you go!
Well, driving with no top while skiing seems a bit of a hard core for some geographies... But for some other is pretty cool!
-
Sure, but soft top down/hard top removed makes it possible to show the how the ski rack looks when installed ...
I'd say that it is more likely a ski rack for hard top equipped SLs without hard top rails, like mine. The Pagoda pictured must have had a contrasting color hard top, possibly black, judging by the hub caps.
-
Mike, are you sure this would fit? Seems to me hard top in the back is a bit higher than soft top...
-
… hard to tell for sure, but there are no clearance issues at all if used as shown! ;^)
-
Actually, in the M-B factory literature this type of ski rack is mentioned as suitable for "soft top roadster as well as HardTop w/o roof chrome strips"
-
ok, so that takes care of the clearances.
