Title: Kuhlmeister Faceplates

I am having a reconditioned Kuhlmeister evaporator unit installed in my 230 SL.  Does anyone know of a source for new / re-manufactured face plates?

Bud's Benz catalog has Frigiking face plates but only a picture of the Kuhlmeister unit.

Suggestions would be appreciated.

To answer my own question, Bud's Benz is making the Kuhlmeister plates for me at the same cost as the Frigiking plates.  The only thing is, they can't reproduce the Kuhlmeister emblem on the right side so I will need to transfer my old emblem to the new plate or leave it blank.

I also found a company in Seattle that will custom make plates for me but I have to use their software to create the design and they print it based on my input.

I did not get a quote but one of the BMW forums reported them as"reasonable and easy to work with"

I hope this helps someone that may be looking at doing the same thing or something similar.   :)

Still waiting for the new plates.  They have shipped and will be here Tuesday.
