ran across this the other day in my tool box. i made it 15 years ago to lubricate my wiper shafts. now that i found it i think ill use it. i believe i found a nut the same size as the wiper nut and ground it down to fit in the copper fitting. some flux, solder and heat has kept it in place. some one posted a link where you can buy a real tool.

Here is where I found it. https://www.authenticclassics.com/Greasing-Tool-Windshield-Wiper-Spindle-280sl-p/auth-008822.htm

Does the Authentic Classic tool work? If so how? Does it inject grease into the shaft like a grease fitting?

yes. here is a pic of the shaft. grease needs to go around the retaining clip and under the washer. looking back at the process it required a lot of pressure to feed grease around the shaft. turning on the wipers may help grease feed in. it may be worthwhile to remove the clip and washer and replace them with a partial washer with a gap, see second pic below with black "gap", and clip so grease will travel through the opening in the washer. rotate the washer so the gap can lubricate a different part of the spindle shaft
