A most interesting vehicle. Do you have the data card? With the black valve cover, the chrome fuel injection lines (what appears in the photo) and the lack of spot welds on the front fenders (again difficult to tell) this could be a "car show" prepared vehicle.A rather rare combination.

If you have the data card, the special option codes will be between 994-997. The technical manual specifies which level of show the car was prepped for, that is, was the engine set up for show (the black valve cover, the chrome lines and the missing front fender spot welds).

Polished intake manifold very interesting.

I too loosely heard about show cars having that kind of detail.

Unfortunately I do not have the data card so I can not confirm the option codes.

Spot welds are not present on the inner fenders because the fenders were replaced in the early '80s when the car was repainted.

Here's a video of it running. Sorry about the quality, this was Febuary so the garage was mostly closed up and lighting was bad. Fan was removed because it had a broken blade and I didn't want it coming apart. Old oil was drained, fuel injection pump was freed up and the electric pump was rebuilt. It ran pretty well initially and runs even better now with new spark plugs and a few other little things.

And here are a few photos that came with the car. I assume this was shortly after it was painted in 1983.

It appears that the original French export taiilamps with the amber backup lamps (as opposed to clear) have been replaced.  Is that correct?

You should be able to get a copy of your datacard.

Those chrome fuel lines actually look nice....

Is that a cruise control servo and actuator cable I am seeing over on the wheel arch behind the hood strap and a control unit perched on the turn signal stalk?
