Title: Plastic gearshift guide

1967 230sl - Ordered a new plastic gearshift guide. Once you remove the gearshift knob (See forum for instructions on doing so), then the chrome housing, you'll need to pry up the metal tabs on the underside of the housing to remove the plastic gearshift guide. Note, the guide I purchased was missing one of the slots where the the metal tabs go. I used a dremel tool to make my own slot. It worked out fine.

Which slot was missing, top or along the sides?
