Title: Nice rear seat

Check out the back seat on this car at Alex Dearborn's site.  While not original it appears to be very nicely done.

To me it looks like somebody recovered
the bottom part of an original califor-
nia coupe rear seat (?)

Nice Job !

Hard to say exactly, but my guess is Cognac. Also note that the dash pads do not match the seats.

It looks like a beautifully done job, but my question would be why? It is a very class place to put things, but I am at a loss to understand how it could be used. Much the same as on some of the modern 2+2 cars that have zero leg room.

Looks like a very nice car but why didn't they change the dash pads so they would match the rest of the interior.  One other gripe I have is the "wild" bundle of the spark plug wires.  I see a lot of cars like that and I don't understand it because it is so easy to run the wires nicely the way the factory did.  Just odd IMHO.
