Title: Selling six Pagodas for one price
Post by: Joe on October 14, 2019, 17:25:30
Due to personal reasons, I have decided to sell all six of my Pagodas. If I do not get my asking price, I may sell them separately.

1. 1965 230SL Restored and painted Horizon Blue (was white) with new Parchment leather interior from GAAH. Bought from original owner in California in 2003. Car was bought new in Germany. Painted and needs assembly. Both tops. Original engine and 4-speed, both installed. Runs very well, but has a persistent tapping on one valve.

2. 1965 230SL White. No rust. Suspension was replaced some time ago. includes seats, door panels, gauges, trim. No engine or transmission. No glass in driver's side front window. No soft top, but hard top is there. Seats and door panels included (Blue)

3. 1965 230SL Yellow (was red). Bought from original owner's estate in California. Car was bought new in Germany. Complete with original engine and automatic transmission. Transmission slips. Body shop thought it needed fluid. No rust. I assume it has a soft top. Interior is black, I think.

4. 1965 230SL White. Has 280SL engine and 4-speed, with blue interior. Some rust bubbles around wheel arches. Both tops.

5. 1967 250SL. Red. No engine or transmission, but 280SE engine and automatic transmission are included. (Condition unknown for both.) Complete AC system. I assume it has a soft top.

6. 1970 280SL Red, automatic with AC. Ran great but was left outside by body shop for awhile and got some rust in the trunk area. (Body shop never got around to working on this car.) Has both tops. Original parchment interior in good condition.

All are LHD. I think I have titles for all. If not, I will get them.

Price is $150,000 for all.

I will ship but do not want to do a lot of transporting.
Cars are in Colorado Springs and Pueblo, Colorado.
I'll be glad to talk English on the phone, and will send what photos I have so far. Five of the cars are in inside storage about 60 miles distant. Photo of Car No. 1 is attached, I hope.
Please respond only if you are serious.
Thanks to all.

Hi Joe,

Some collection you have there.  Would there be any chance we could see some photos of your collection?

Steve

Just to note that the original post is 2 years old so I doubt the cars are still available.

Do you know whether the original advertiser reposted? If not, is there a glitch somewhere?

According to his profile 'Joe' is still a full member - suggest reaching out to him via direct message, he may not be visiting the forums that often anymore.

No. A new member posted in the thread despite receiving a warning that it was very old. Everyone else then saw the new post. Joe (original poster) still occasionally logs in, last time a day after Nickw’s post. The fact that Joe hasn’t responded to the thread makes it unlikely they are still available…
