Several suppliers rebuild the FIP.  If you go  to the technical  manual by clicking on the button at the top of the page to the right of the “Home” button and scroll down to “Suppliers” you will find vendors who offer rebuild service.  I have not used but Fairchild Industries is one frequently recommended here.  Bud’s Benz also offers rebuilt pumps for sale.   European members here may recommend European sources.

Baron Youngman will repair the fuel injection pump to perfection. He has advertised that he may have resorted FI pump for sale. Go to baronyoungman@hotmail. He resorted my original FI pump & it looks brand new.

Dear All who did reply to my previous post, I wanna thank you all for the comments;before to post here, I already brought the car to a famous local Bosch service in Italy, the owner of the B service is an old experienced man on old cars, but the engine still doesn't run at full six cylinders. He explained me that there's a rotating part  (inside the I P) that was rusty (and may be ruined as well). I guess that ruined part, is something like a small crank shaft that acts the quantity of fuel per cylinder @every revolution. What is worst is that I guess that part, is no longer available...

I have a 230sl pump, complete and never taken apart. therefore the crankshaft is still there. $400.00 crankshaft is the main PIECE
.  BUT, THE PRICE IS FOR THE COMPLETE PUMP
