I am reinstalling my entire sub-frame after removing to do some other work. Part of the reinstall has included new sub-frame mounts, new torsion bar mounts, etc. I am wondering what I need to do at this point regarding aligning the sub-frame in the car, i.e. the straps that connect the sub-frame to the frame below the radiator. Should I just put these about where they were, tighten them down, then let the folks doing the alignment (when the time comes) do the adjustment?
Thanks very much,
Harry

That sounds like a good idea. You won't be able to do any alignment on your own.

Try to strive for maximum amount of caster angle. Do this via turning the excenter screws that guide the blade springs "straps" as you call them.
IMHO, this gives a good steering feel in your SL

Moving slowly forward. Here is a shot of the engine compartment today. I need to post a before picture. Does not look like the same car! And of course my wife doesn't understand why bother - "no one ever sees under the hood anyway". Geez.

BTW! There is a ground strap that is visible attached to the bottom of the capacitor at the ignition coil (lower right of the photo. The other end attaches at the 6 mm hex head cap screw on the PS pump. But - at that same PS pump connection, there is a similar ground strap going from there towards the front of the car. I don't quite recall where that strap connects on the car? It might save me some time going through notes/photos if someone already knows and could respond.
Thanks,
Harry

Harry, I believe that second ground strap connected to the radiator fan shroud upper left bolt. Or if no shroud is present then the upper left rad mount bolt

Thanks Tyler!
