Title: Factory Workshop Manual
Post by: ja17 on February 20, 2005, 20:10:25
Len Sokoloff just posted an Original Factory Workshop Manual on Ebay if anyone is looking for one. (Mercedes Passenger cars starting 1968)English.
It appears to be an original, not a reprint and covers up through 1973so it should cover all the latest changes and model upgrades for the W113.

Starting price is a bit high at $50.00 but if it does not go too much higher it may be a good deal for someone.

Does anyone know if English reprints are still available and how much?

Thanks for that link RJ. One other important publication apparently back in print is the English language version of the data manual - this can be very useful for those of us that are into 'more details'.

Rod,
If you've got the earlier BBB which includes the 230/250 SLs, the Tech data content in the first pages is the same as the Tech Data Book you're looking for.

Really?  I thought the Technical Data book was quite encompassing, for example, touque ratings for every bolt on the car.  I'll have to look at my BBB and see what all is there!

I got a newer version of the BBB in two days from the MB site.  Came in the mail last night.

Hello

There is a lot of the same data in the BBB. However there is some data and diagrams in the Data Booklets which are not in the BBB.

What I like about the Data Booklets is the data is condensed and organized so retrieval of technical specifications is much easier than sorting through 400 pages of text on various models in th BBB.
