Title: Top Handles on Early 107
Post by: Douglas on February 19, 2005, 14:26:05
Here's something we have in common with our younger brethren: In the following link, you'll see an auction for a very early 107 (#53) that shows a car with a top handle that's clearly the same as a Pagoda's.

Assuming this is the original top handle for that car, I guess the factory changed the tool at some pont shortly after the 107 was introduced.

The 107 handles I've seen in the past are all much longer and more curved than a 113 handle, though I understand they work for either car. In fact, that's the handle Mercedes will sell you today if you order a 113 handle.

I just received a new set of 113 top lock handles
incl. the little small black bag from CC. The cpl.
unit is the same like the old sets. They are still
available.

The total cost was about 195.-- Euro (aprox.
255.-- US §)for the cpl. set.

Wow, that's good to know the original handles are available. My only complaint is that the carrying case is way too big.
