Title: Tach cable rpm

Does anyone know whether the tach cable spins at the same rpm as the engine, or some fraction of that?

The tach drive is adjacent to and driven off the distributor drive.  The distributor is driven at 1/2 crankshaft speed.  It is possible that the cable runs at 1/2 crankshaft speed.
