Title: Vin/Paint Code Plate

Hi Folks, am new to this site & am not sure if anyone can help.
I acquired a 280 SL recently which was resprayed at some stage and is missing the Paint Tag in the engine-bay near the unlock-latch passenger side . I understand it was an aluminium plate with the appropriate numbers pertaining to the vehicle's authenticity....
I have the Data Card & log books, but does anyone know where I may get another tag pressed? There is a US website on Ebay, but this guy wants a fortune for his efforts ($US900 +45 Freight!!)

Whoever is quoting you $900 to make a data plate is criminal.
www.pagode-markt.de   is the way to go.
