Title: Subframe paint
Post by: balimatharu on June 10, 2019, 19:38:29
Hi I’m restoring a 1967 250 SL. I have just had the subframe shot blasted. I was wondering what is the best paint to use to get the most original appearance?

Thanks

What exactly do you mean by sub frame?

I mean the front suspension assembly.

The front and rear suspension were painted in a satin black finish. Somewhere on the forum I red that it is a mix of 60% shiny and 40% matte black.
Hope that helps

Thanks for your support. Just wanted to make sure it is satin black and not satin dark grey.
