Title: Speedo Rebuild
Post by: hlblanton on May 05, 2019, 22:05:50
My '71's odometer just stopped working. First the main odo and then the trip odometer just a week or so later. I assume the gearing his going (the speedo still works properly) Anyone have a sense of the cost (rebuild and local labor) to getting this work done? I know I could do the disassembly and reinstall myself, but I've got big awkward hands and it is tight back there, and frankly I'm just not into it. I"m assuming when you do this you get a full rebuild (of my original - I don't want a mismatch) even though the speedometer is working fine. Any guidance would be much appreciated!

Palo Alto did a full resto on my speedo and WHOA! I just sit and drool looking at it. Works perfectly and calibration is right on.

There is also North Hollywood Speedometer.  Check the vendor list in the tech manual.

Buds Benz and you'll be happy with the cost plus they have been a big supporter of the group for many years.
