I've successfully lost the brake cylinder thrust pins (#77 in the picture linked below, PN 0004210488). These are the short rods installed between the cylinder and brake shoe. One end is a hemisphere and the other notched to receive the brake shoe. I can make new ones but need:
1) Overall length
2) Depth of brake shoe notch
3) Diameter (8.0mm?)

I'm a new SL owner and slowly getting up to speed. This site is an outstanding resource especially the forums and members area. The car is a 1967 230SL with a 2.5L 129.980 motor (factory replaced) in need of about 20 years of TLC.

Welcome to the group! Is that a '65 Falcon?

Hi Mike. Yes, a good 'ol Ford Falcon Futura. Not quite sporty but certainly a good cruiser and it loved country roads. The 302W woke it up nicely without being too much motor.

Just in case it is difficult to find this piece at hand, where I see something like you describe is here: https://www.sls-hh-shop.de/main/en/mercedes-230-280sl-w113-/42-brakes/42-a-brake-wheels-

Thanks for the link.
I made four "push rods":
40mm OAL (might be a couple mm short looking at the picture in the link)
10mm notch
8mm diameter 1210 steel rod
They're installed and seem to work. If they are too short I can always make four more!
