I did this with mine because I wanted to keep the 'factory-original-matching-numberless' trunk handle with my car ..... :o

Those are easy to come by...;   ;)
the W111C and W108 use the identical one ...
Just look for the best one you can find. ;)
For the last (used) ones I paid $ 3.00 each. :o
