I need some assistance sorting through the correct screws for my 71 glovebox
I need to confirm the screws for the following :
1-4 screws that secure the hinge to the lid (External door of the glovebox)
2-4 screws that secure the box to the bottom of the dash
3-4 washers that go under those screws from above
4-the 2 screws that secure the inside top of the box to the upper dash
5-do the screws in #4 have washers?
Based on the new Portal---see below
Please notice where it mentions 6 ...6 of what???

These are thin conical washers.
They go on the screws that secure the glove compartment.
Two up, four down.
PS: To me, seems the word "window" in M-B Portal ought to say "washer". Mistake in database?
Window pane = Fensterscheibe
Washer = Scheibe DS

The "WINDOW" is translated in my EPC on line (not Part Info) as "washer". Without 100% certainty it may be the 6 counter sunk washers you need (for top and bottom).
You also need rivets and rubber buffers probably.
I am usually very careful when buying screws from MB as it is very likely that, particularly with N in the PN, you will get some standard screws, not necessarily looking the way you want them to look. But it is not expensive, so you can try.
Also: to me it looks like you need 4 (hinge) + 4 (bottom) + 2 (top) screws. It looks like 2 too many in your list. But I may be wrong. On some pictures I saw screws in the place where I have the rubber buffers - either a mistake or earlier cars had screws there.
