Looks like today per the link!

Fantastic cars and fantastic prices!
Perhaps the American vs. European date writing/reading issue.
-
looks like a fine bucket list to me!

When I was still going to school, a friend of mine who was hanging out with us had a 450SEL 6.9. He put a 280SEL tag on the back and played with others.

Overheated room based on the sale prices.
-
I was quite taken aback by the pricing on most of these. The Pagoda was just silly money for condition and authenticity.

Jonny,
Prices are a bit over the top, then we know that someone with a fist full of money (and has no clue about the car) will get it in the end. I think that is what they are counting on.

Pretty much exactly what a seller, and auction house are looking for. And if the buyer is happy (regardless of what we think) then its a triple win.
Prices are a bit over the top

More the merrier, one would think.
I'd rather wake up looking at the list, then looking at my car with pride, than looking at 50% price list and then look at my car with empathy.
Agree?

Works for me.

...for me too. For years, I saw the prices for some neo-classic motorcycles rise into the stratosphere. First, I was somewhat miffed, upset, disgruntled that the prices moved into the "unaffordable" range. Then, when I recognized I HAVE some of these, I started to feel great. I can round up five of my "classic" bikes and get 100K for them. Great for an emergency fund.

Yes impressive collection and crazy high prices. It's interesting that the pre sale value estimates are so far below the "realized" price.
Who would pay 60,000 euros for a 1989 560 SL ? Heated room is right.
Mr. Wiesenthal seemed to favor the velour seating I see.
A treat to see. Thank you for the link Uptheorg.

Typo.
I meant to write 560 SEL

I am dealing, together with two partners, in Vintage and Classic vehicles. We have a place here in the U.S. and one in Berlin, Germany.
Prices for similar vehicles are substantially higher in Europe than here in the U.S.
All of our early Porsches go to Europe. Even with the shipping cost a 356 creates more return there than here.

That certainly is the case. I gifted my 280SE 4.5 W108 to my daughter who resides in Germany. Recently she was offered 20,000 Euro for it at an event she attended in Duesseldorf/Germany!
This car would be hard to sell for that money, good condition or not.
