I got the complete original soft top from 1964 230SL. The soft top frame is in excellent condition. Currently sports a worn canvas.
In addition, it comes with:

- one (or two?) support wires

I may have a seal or two for this roof; I will throw it in.
Complete package $5800 USD obo.

Pictures inclued. PM if interested.
All shipping, packaging, customs, fees, etc. etc. borne by buyer.

Sorry to hijack thread, but figured since the top was sold...

I noticed it has the latch handles affixed.  Is that a 230SL thing?

When and why did they change them to be removable, as in my 280SL.

I don't know the exact dates but I think it was a DOT thing or just general safety upgrade in ~1968.   They didn't want your head to hit the handle if in an accident.

I'm sure others have the exact info.

According to Engelen's book and Frank Mallory's translation, the change occurred at 250 SL VIN 5089.
