Hi All,
Does anybody know of any specialists who will rewind a Bosch long style fuel pump motor. Portugal or UK would be my preferred locations, but I could also consider other European states.
Best Regards

If you talk US, maybe it is Bob?

I can rewind for $150 but think shipping would get expensive.

Bob,
I would happily pay 150 bucks. Let me think about this as I work in Algeria.....with some Americans plus a few Brits who are now resident in the USA, typically Florida.
I might be able to get one to courier it as a favour.
There must be places in Europe which do this work too though.

Peter if you look up a local small electric motor (generator) repair shop they should either do the work in-house or know someone who can rewind the armature. It is a very labor intensive job, but with the proper machines it should take less than 45 minutes to wind then glue and bake overnight. It is a fascinating process see attached picture..
Bob
otherwise I can help I am just trying to save you money

I've used a place in London. I will try to find their details later.

Hi Colin,
I found a place called Robson & Francis in South London who were confident they could do it.
They might also be useful for you, as an alternative to the place you have used before.
I will give some feedback when they have completed the overhaul.

Bob,
That picture is great because the guy clearly has specialized motor rewinders finger nails !!
I've just had a look at the wheeler dealers AMG tribute. Very nice. I remember looking at an original about 15 years ago with the AMG 32V engine as well....seller was probably asking about 10k USD at the time !!
Thanks
Peter
