Title: 1968 280SL - Convertible top horseshoe lid release cable broke

Hi,

The convertible top horseshoe lid release cable broke where it connects to the pull lever inside the bay. The rest of it works fine. I'm hoping there is some way to add some length to the wire cable so it will go back inside the lever hole so it can be tightened and be able to release the lid.
