Title: New fire wall rubber grommets
Post by: zak on September 13, 2018, 18:38:06
I am finally getting around to having the new fire wall pad installed. The one dry original one has been removed and the area under the pad has been cleaned and prepped and ready for pad install. I like the "peel and stick" of the new pad.

My question is on the new rubber grommets. I bought a bag full from Tom Hansen -
Is there anywhere a diagram showing what grommets go where ? Each grommet had an MB part number.
I took photos but want to be sure of proper placement.

Hi Zak,
I got my firewall grommets from SLS. Google their site and their images will give you a good idea of where the different grommets should go.

I think I used my EPC (Electronic Parts Catalog or wwhat is commonly reffered to as Startec) to figure out which grommet went where.  If you get stuck on any PM me and I can look them up for you.  In my set there were a few important ones missing so be aware that you may need to source a few more.
