Title: Need rear axel

Hello,  I am searching for a 3.69 or 3.46 rear axel. I might consider a 3.27 but don't want to lose too much pickup. I have a 1968 to 250SL with a 4 speed and the 3.92 or 4.09. It is in excellent shape. However I want to be able to drive on the highway with less engine revs. At 60 the tach is about 3400 rpm.  I have considered the 5 or 6 speed transmissions but they are too expensive for me.Thank you for any input. Also realize that your speedometer and odometer will be incorrect after the switch.
