Title: Right hand rear axel bearing
Post by: CJHenderson on August 12, 2018, 22:36:55
Is it normal for the outer race to separate from the bearing?

Completly off or just slid to one side?  It is an odd bearing and the race doesn't stay in line like a ball bearing.  If the race has fallen off completly there is more than likely a way to slip it back on by twisting it all the way to one side and sliding it back on.  If it is an original the cage retaining the rollers is steel so the chance you broke anything is slim.

Thanks you just saved me at least $60. I can reinstall the race and the rollers are fine.

That's a good price if you found the right side bearings for $60.00 ?

That's what I thought too. $100.00 or more would be more expected.
