Title: Another tiny detail.
Post by: Shvegel on August 07, 2018, 07:35:21
I restored my original windshield washer pump(note date stamp) today and when I took it apart I was surprised to see that the face plate of the pump was finished in bright zinc and the bracket yellow cad. I had assumed the entire pump was yellow cad but not the case.

Shvegel,
Thanks for that !
I learned something new today, I didn't know those were date coded.
I can't wait to look.

Finished product.  I cheated a little and ordered a new replacement pump and used the motor off of it.  Technically the original motor was actually through bolted with tiny nuts but the updated housing wouldn't let me use them.

Have to confess: I, actually, did the same... It is the white housing that is getting yellow and makes the pump look a bit too old...
