Title: Engine Backfires on idle

Hi

My 230SL has started to backfire on idle and is running rough. I have tried adjusting timing which looks correct - any ideas where to go next - injectors? injector pump ? valves ? Any clues gratefully received !

I recommend to first check your linkages

Check that your ignition cables are not faulty as well as spark plugs.
This can also be a cause, especially the rough running.
