Title: Bundy drive, Santa Monica in stop-and-go traffic, white SL 230 SL
Post by: Cees Klumper on July 19, 2018, 00:37:07
A white Pagoda with an elderly gentleman driver, sitting in a very loooooong line of cars. I was lane splitting between the cars on my BMW maxiscooter and could not get a good look, but it was nice to see an SL in the otherwise bland sea of cars/SUVs.

Where have you lived the longest? Seems you move around a lot. :)

Hi Dan, yes that's true, Holland, Florida, Holland, Switzerland, France, Croatia, France and now California. Fortunately there's Pagodas everywhere! My longest residence so far is in my native Holland but we still have hopefully some 30 years to go so we'll see where we end up living the longest. Australia seems interesting as well ...

Update - from my helmet camera footage, the (California black plate) license number was UFB 464 and it was a 230 SL.

Yes, my workshop is in France, we are keeping our house there and that is where the Pagoda is. We will likely be able to visit the house three months every summer, so I can exercise the cars, motorcycles and what have you at least then. Not ideal but those are the consequences of moving around...
