Title: Cabin air filter
Post by: 49er on July 15, 2018, 19:51:48
Out for a drive today, and a small leaf came out of my defroster vent. It had been in there for a very long time from the looks of it. I looked down the cowl vent and no filter to be found. I did a search on the forum and it looked like these were available from the classic center a while back. Didn’t see any listed on authentic classics. Anyone buy one recently? Thanks in advance.

John,

I suppose you are talking about a piece of blue sponge with a piece of wire to hold it in place under flap. It is A1138300118. It is available at Mercedes, costs about $50-60. Or EUR 75 at Niemoeller. There is no issue with availability of it.

Or I am missing what you need...

Thanks Pawel, that is the part. Probably got tossed when I had my new Heater cables and levers put in back in 2010. I will pay a visit to my local MB dealer tomorrow and just open my wallet to them. Always nice to have great advise from our European friends. Thanks again

Purchased a new cabin filter from the Classic Center in Irvine, $36US plus shipping and Tax brought it up to $55. Installed it with no problem and it was fun to have a little project to do on the car.
