Title: Manual transmission oil
Post by: abdullah412 on July 12, 2018, 15:18:39
Hey guys,

I'm doing engine-transmission rebuild for my father's 1969 280SL (manual transmission).

Everything went well so far (after nearly a year of rebuilding :-X )
but now i don't know what type of manual transmission oil and how many liters should i have?

Also if you know what type of oil for differential and how many liters will be great.

Please  refer for international company for oils because i'm not in USA. I live in Saudi Arabia we have a lot of american products but i think you have local compaines do that stuff, but no worries if you know any oil company just say it.

Thanks a LOT
Abdullah

ATF (automatic transmission fluid) for the transmission.

ATF for the transmission about 2 liters.

80 W 90 gear lube for rear axle - also about 2 liters.
