Title: proper placement of passenger mirror for 71
Post by: StevenF on June 30, 2018, 16:11:50
Does anyone have an installation sheet, document, pics or advise as to where the passenger mirror for a 71 should be installed?

Regards
Steven

Hi,
the passenger mirror for late Pagodas (250 from #2980 - 280) are mounted in mirror symmetry to the driver side.
Here you'll find some photos: https://www.pagodentreff.de/diskussionsforum/threads/au%C3%9Fenspiegel-rechts.2779/page-3.
For early models it's different. There the passenger side mirror has to be moved 9 cm backwards.
I hope you've decided to install a mirror with convex mirrorglas: https://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=25615.msg188363#msg188363.

I highly recommend the convex mirror. I recently made the change  - - and WOW what a difference!

I also recommend a convex mirror glass - big difference.

Also: there is a reinforcement plate inside the door sheet for mirror installation.

Mirror installed with plate (inside door) and convex.

Much safer driving!

I think so!

I find it particularly helpful in city traffic with soft top up.
