Title: Transmission dipstick

I have a '68 280SL and my mechanic advised me that I should get a new dipstick for the car. I am having issues figuring out what I need as I seem to only find info on "oil" dip sticks. Could someone kindly point me in the right direction for what I am needing?

I have done many searches, here and elsewhere on the web....so thanks for any help :)

In the EPC for 113044 (US Version) you just have one part number A1162700083 if this is what you are looking for.
And here you can buy it, but I am sure there are suppliers in the US or one of the Members has it.

Yes the "look" of that one is what I think I am after. Now it find it in North  America :)

if the part number A1162700083 is correct it's still available at MB (~50€ +VAT).
