Title: At 5 speed gearbox
Post by: gordon on March 26, 2018, 19:08:12
I have bought a 1975 car with a ZF 5 speed gearbox which I believe is the same as fitted to a 113. The gear change is almost impossible at times although a new clutch has allegedly been fitted.
Have any members in the UK had a ZF repaired and if so was it expensive?

Well, does your gear box look like this?

Hi Hans, I'll check tomorrow. The shift pattern is the dog leg, ie  first gear is bottom left  second is upper right.  Is this the same as fitted to 113?

Ok, so it seems that my at box is different to the Pagoda box. Are parts still available for repairs?

Gordon,

Are you sure you have the correct 5 speed gearbox on the car?
