I have just added the templates for the underdash and trunk panel to the Tech Manual. I put them in the Restricted section here:
https://www.sl113.org/wiki/Restricted/Start
I am attaching them here also for public use for the time being. The powers that be here on the forum can decide whether they want them to be "Premium Content" or public consumption. It does not matter to me. ;D
Underdash and trunk panel templates
These templates were copied from my 4 speed '69 280sl ('68 build). They are for a LHD drive car but they can be used for a RHD car with little or no modification. I had them scanned actual size at a Staples printer center.
Each PDF is one page actual sized template. It's best to take the PDF's to a Staples, Fedex Office, etc and have them printed out on a full size paper to avoid any aggravation in piecing multiple sheets together. Every printer is different and it is very difficult to get them to align correctly. YMMV :)
Staples will charge about $2-3 per PDF print out. Fedex is $2 per square foot which is about double. Other places may be cheaper.
I never took out my right trunk panel. I just made a mirror image of it and took out notch. I have not tested it but should work fine. I do not have the holes marked for the evap system. It would be helpful if somebody does have a right side trunk panel out if they could modify the PDF below and add the holes marks for future users :)
Note: When cutting outline of templates, cut on inside of black line
Note: When cutting inside circle's of templates, cut on outside of black line
Note: The left underdash panel template will work for manual and automatics. Just cut out the marked section for manuals
Note: The middle underdash panel template is from my original underdash panel('69 280sl 4speed). It has the lower notch for automatics also. I guess Mercedes made it one size fits all. If you are a purist I guess you can remove the notch even if you have a 4 speed. :). If you don't care, don't bother.
Have fun 8)

Be careful matching up the pages. The lady at Staples tested using adobe acrobat and they came out close but not correct. She could not match the edges correctly. Every thing seemed about 10mm off in all directions. Unless you are absolutely sure I recommend having a printer print out full template on one sheet. 👍
