Title: Can someone measure their rocker mouldings for me?
Post by: Scottcorvette on February 23, 2018, 09:47:07
I have a problem with the rocker mouldings on my 64 230SL. Mine measure 63 1/4" from end to end but are 1/4" too long to fit my new fenders. I am trying to decide to modify these or order new ones, I don't want to order new ones and find they are the same length and I've gone wrong somewhere else.

Id be grateful if someone with a 1965 onward car could measure theirs and see if they are 63" long.

The ones on the side of the car that are painted black (or grey...)

Scott, mine measure 63" along the top, even a smidgen shy of that.  Definitely not 63.25".

Thanks guys, that what I suspected. I cant bring myself to chop these up so I've ordered a new pair, if anyone ever needed a set of the early longer ones I bet they'd have a devil of a job to find them. No doubt I'll come across them again in my stash when I'm old and grey....

Once again the power of the group is demonstrated to the full! Thanks again.
