This past summer I asked many questions and received much help from the forum and am grateful, as I removed and refreshed the engine and front suspension of my 1970 280SL with the help of a shade tree mechanic friend and the use of another friend's garage.
Many thanks for all your help!!!

Nice work. did you have your fuel lines and hardware CAD or zinc plated? I am just starting to put mine back together. got the wire loom through the firewall with new grommets. That was fun.

CAD plated the Fuel Lines. Sent the fuel pump out to have it redone and had them replate the lines too.

It's far from perfect. Best I could do under the circumstances and as a first time effort. It is in Joe's hands now to do a 3.27 rear diff and do some body work and interior work that still needs doing. Joe also straightened out some mistakes I made, that had the steering control arm in wrong and wrong length bolts on the water pump, etc. Joe's been a great help via the club site and I sent the car to him when I finished, so he could do that rear diff, etc.

Fantastic effort, you should be proud of it !
