Hi all,
I have some brackets of unknown origin and I thought it might be quicker me asking what they are before spending hours trawling the SL parts websites etc. I notice that most just seem to have a mercedes logo on them and one has a 6 digit part number.
I have numbered them in the photos. I cannot guarantee all are Mercedes parts though.... I have 12 in all.. would appreciate any help on this.
Regards

Hello Steven,
Oooops.... :o ???
I thought I know the Pagoda pretty well (well, the 230 to be honest)
but these brackets ....? :o
No. 11 for sure, that's the one for the washer bottle and the clutch reservoir.
;)
No. 10 "could be" one of the hold-downs for the trunk wiring harness on the main crossmember above the rear axle ... but looks a very bit strange to me ...
All the others .... oops, no. Or I am too forgetful now?

Well your response is actually quite encouraging because the clutch isnt in the car at the moment. The rest must be off another Mercedes...

Photo 11 ties up exactly with the bracket of the clutch reservoir on the SLS website..
-
Sorry Steven,
Got the numbers on your pic mixed up.
Corrected it!
Yes, no. 11 is the washer bottle/clutch reservoir bottle bracket.
Good luck with the others

Number 5 engine damper.
-
Could the 20 be your 10 or 9?
I think fairly rare item...
-
3 timing pointer - possible diesel
4 injector hold down from EFI 6 cylinder engine from about 1970
5 front engine suspension that holds small shock
7 rear injection pump bracket - possibly a diesel
11 clutch bracket at brake booster ( 113 )

Hi Pawel,
What are the parts in your schematic? I dont recognise them on the SLS or Nielmoller websites.

This is the fire extinguisher mounting picture from the EPC, Mercedes part catalogue. I am not sure if it is this part - the shape is somewhat similar, but on the picture it may be a bolt rather than a hole in the upper part of this bracket. I am not sure how the hanger for fire extinguisher looked like - it may have a bolt to fit in the hole in the fire extinguisher to hold it.
If you have part numbers on some of the brackets that are not identified, with EPC you may figure out where they fit.

#12 in the second photo is the base mount for an aftermarket alarm siren.
-
#1: Inlet manifold support from M102 engine.
#4: Alternator mounting, also M102
#7: Injector retaining bracket from 1975 to 1989, all engines with KA/KE injection system.
Edit: I think the 126 was the last model to have KE so up to 1991.
