While doing the car judging portion of PUB, we ran across the attached sticker. This is on the white tire change hang tag in the trunk. Neither Hans Strom or I had ever seen one like it before.
Anyone else?
This was on Robyn Tyer's 230 SL.

One of Motoring Investments' "holy grail" early 280SLs (chassis 1847) has this tag. I wonder how hard it would be to reproduce.

...I wonder how hard it would be to reproduce...
Reproducing any tag, decal, etc. is relatively easy if you have a good, clean original or copy to start with. Just takes a bit of an artist, and the right software, and of course some minor budget to get the right stock, lamination, etc. If it has the Mercedes logo or anything like that on it, it's a no-no.

I agree that finding a good quality original would be the hardest part. Barring that, what I was wondering is if it would be possible to reproduce the tag just from the pictures.

If I may throw in my 2 cents: I do not think we have a lot there in Technical Manual about the early type of jack. The original look of the jack as well as the tag - I think it will all be useful there.

Great job, DM.

If it would be more helpful I can send you the full resolution photos I took. Just let me know, and I can use WeTransfer to get them to you.

Pictures have been sent. Will be most curious on what you can do with these.

DM,
Did you ever have a chance to create the tire change tag using the HD photo? Also, would it be possible to create the tag without the yellow background? I am thinking of trying to print it on yellow card stock like the original.
Thank you.
