I just got the middle front seat back from the upholsterer.
There is a tab at the rear bottom that fits into a slot screwed onto the to tunnel.
On the front bottom there is a wooden support that fits around the transmission hump.
Since there is nothing holding it in front, the seat slides forward.
Is there another part that holds it in place?
Thanks,
Paul

Just from memory, the wooden front support should have two pins that fit into the metal bottom of the cushion. I believe the metal bottom has two rubber grommets that the pins fit into. If you need pictures, I can take mine out. But I bet you can see what I am talking about. And no, it should not move at all.

I'd appreciate pictures - worth a thousand words.
Thanks

Paul,
Here are the photos and should be self explanatory. So my memory is only half bad. I had the idea right, just the wrong positions of the parts. The trans hump mount is wood but has a metal cover presumably to hold the rubber grommets on. Hopefully that helps.
I wonder how popular this option was? Back then, it was a desirable feature. Now, I think most would rather have the center tray.
