Title: Axle Boot

I have my 1965 230sl rear axle mounted on a holder that I made which bolts to my engine stand, turned upside down the bracket holds the front x-member. My question, I am planing to replace the axle boot with a one piece boot. After the right  side axle is removed. Can I  slide the new boot around the u-joint? Is there anything else that has to be removed? The original clamps are in good shape. Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, you have to pull the right side axle housing to install the one piece boot.
