Does anyone have any information where I can purchase a conversion kit to put power steering on my 1965 MB 230 SL

You will need:
complete steering column from a power steering 230SL
power steering box
pump with bracket and belt tightener
crank shaft pulley and drive belt
fluid canister and longer timing chain hold down screw
hoses that go from the pump to the box
hose from pump to fluid canister

Some hardware will be different ( longer ) and you should change the plastic bushings in the steering coupling.

A week to take it all apart and put it back together. The steering column will be the hardest to find.

I illustrate the two lengths of the steering shaft (servo vs. manual) here

When Joe A. did the conversion on my 230SL I bought the shorter shaft from this company: http://ai-motors.de/
In addition to the parts listed by Dan you'll also need the correct Pitman arm.

You can get a shorter shaft - that's another option. I would imagine that the Pitman arm would come with the box if you bought a used one. A rebuilt box probably wouldn't come with the arm.
