Here is a PDF file detailing some of what you are planning to do. Unfortunately it is in German, you can always find someone that speaks the language or use Google translator to change the German to English to get a better grip on things.

Good Luck

Are you trying to replace the gauge with a modern type sender unit, etc. Or are you trying to replace the gauge with the same kind?

Use the main "search" function (three items to the right of the "home" link) - it will search the entire forum.

I used "oil gauge" and do use the quote marks. This turned up a single page of hits, with some comments about leaks on the oil gauge.

If you decide to do the job yourself, which is doable, just a contortionist exercise - be very careful with the temperature gauge connection. That is a sealed system, gas filled, and if you knick or break it, $$$ will be spent to repair.
