I just bought Dansk replacement Sun visors for $110 shipped. They only came in a creme color. Since they were cheap I thought I would to try to paint them.
My upholstery code is 131 (mb Tex black) and I wanted to spray paint them black.
Before anyone jumps in, I know they are suppose to be the color of the headliner or in my car a light grey. I have not had the hard top on in over 15 years and prefer a matching black interior with the top down.
I have never used vinyl paint or die before. Can anybody suggest a good brand? Do I use paint or dye? What finish should I use? Flat, satin, semi, gloss? Any other tips?
Thanks

Here are some good instructions for how to dye (not paint) vinyl (or leather):

Give them a call for more tips.

3 years ago I went through a lot of enquiries amongst the sellers on e-bay in search for light grey sunvisors. Everybody had light tan only. I found them finally. If you decide dying is not the way, let me know - maybe I can dig out the correspondence. I remember they did not have light grey in MB, SLS, nor in Niemoeller.

Ok, I sent you the name of the seller - let me know if you have not received it.
